August 7th, 2011 Brew House Blog
What’s Brewing? This week we brewed a fresh batch of Dark Helmet and a Rye Pale Ale. The Rye PA had some crystal rye along with a generous amount of malted rye in the grain bill. The hop schedule included one English and three American hop varieties to make this pale ale nice and hoppy.
What’s Filtering? This week we filtered a fresh batch of “400” Honey Ale and the Big Boy Brown we brewed a few weeks ago. We’ll tap the Big Boy Brown by the time this blog goes out, so if you missed the tapping, stop by to try a pint!
